Grandpa and I went to Springfield this morning and picked Kairi up for her 2nd sleepover. When we got home, mommy had already left a message on our answering machine telling us that we'd had her long enough.
It was a wonderful day. We went to the Disney web site on the internet and Kairi bopped to the music and laughed at the funny characters. Then we found the 'Dancing Baby' web site, which she just loved!
Mommy forgot to tell us about Kairi's favorite game of all; 'Can you pick up my toys faster than I can throw them?' Oh, that game didn't last too long; but it was cute.
She still is so small and that's so hard to believe since she will eat anything, everything, and as often as you let her. She started with cinnamon applesauce, washed that down with a bottle, and went right into dinner which consisted of mashed potatoes and peas. I don't know why I bothered with a bib; she had a ball squishing it in her hands and then rubbing them all over her face, highchair and the table. Before bed I gave her a pudding cup which took her less than two minutes to devour.
Bedtime started out to be a game. I put her on the couch and I pushed the roll-away bed up to the edge where I was to sleep. She would sit up and start crawling down the length of the couch; I'd sit up and grab the back of her jammies and bring her back up. On her third try to get away, my back went completely out and I couldn't move to grab her. I almost yelled for grandpa to come to the rescue, but shooter jumped up on the couch and blocked her so she couldn't go any further. I finally managed to get a hold of her and decided to put her on the roll-away with me. I laid her on her tummy and she went right to sleep!
Sunday morning she scarfed down a big bowl of oatmeal with applesauce. We were up by 7 am and by 10 we decided her mommy had missed her long enough, so we loaded up the vehicle and headed back to Springfield. Mommy and daddy were taking advantage of their time alone and were still sleeping when we got there.
I didn't get a chance to take many pics when she was here because we were busy playing. I am only posting one because most of them I took were basically the same (her in her walker).
