Sherlock went to the vet for grooming this morning. Sherlock is our hyper baby and almost impossible to control. He has a bad heart, Addison Disease, and Dry eye.
When we first got him 8 years ago we were told that he could die at any time. They couldn't pinpoint the amount of time he had left, but just told us that it could be two months or two years. Sherlock has fooled science! To be around him, you would never guess that he is so sick.
When he was about a year old, we took him to PetSmart for grooming. They couldn't handle him (2 1/2 lbs!) and refused to finish the job and asked us not to ever bring him back. Ever since then, we have tried to do it ourselves. We've been lucky to get one snarl cut off before he jumps out of our arms. We've always left the toenail clipping to the vet.
Now that we have found a new vet that all our animals seem to feel comfortable with, we decided to see if they could groom him. We left instructions that if he was too much to handle, to just stop and we would understand. Wow, were we surprised when he came back to us! The Branson Veterinary Hospital was able to accomplish a miracle
